Endowment Giving and Tuition Assistance
SCA’s endowment funds provide long-term financial vitality. The school uses a percentage of the interest earned each year much like the Annual Fund – to offset operations and provide tuition assistance for families with financial need. Approximately 35% of students receive some level of tuition assistance.

Donors make outright gifts for tuition assistance, give to one of SCA’s 35 established endowment funds, or create a newly named endowment to honor family, friends, or graduation years.

Planned Giving
Including SCA in your estate plans is a gift for the future of St. Cecilia Academy, leaving a legacy and continuing your commitment in perpetuity. Making a future or planned gift ensures long-term stability for the school by strengthening the endowment, funding programmatic needs, and providing scholarships. Often, there may be significant tax benefits for the donor, increasing the size of an estate and reducing the tax burden on heirs. The Heritage Club recognizes donors who have made bequests or other planned gifts to SCA.

“My mother, Sara Hynes Lea, was a strong supporter of Catholic education, sending all six of us to Overbrook and the four girls on to St. Cecilia Academy. We wanted to honor her memory in such a way that the gift would live in perpetuity – and the best way to do that was to establish an endowed scholarship in her name at SCA.”
